Hi guys! Today I am going to share with you my first manicure and pedicure that I got yesterday at the Plaza Hair Resign and Spa. Basically for my birthday I got a groupon for a mani pedi there and I redeemed yesterday. I looked at their normal prices and what I had done, which was a spa pedicure and paraffin manicure, was about $70. I was surprised with there high prices. They are located in a plaza where other different types of offices and small businesses are located. The spa is located on the lower level, Suite 30. There place was nice and small but there was enough space to move around comfortably. This is what it looks like when you walk in.
And here's me sitting on the spa chair getting my pedicure.
She started with my pedicure and seated me in a massage chair. After that she filled up the foot tub with warm to hot water but it wasnt to hot like burning hot. After that she let me soak my feet for a about 20 minutes while a picked out a nail polish color. The she started to remove the old nailpolish with the remover and a cotten cloth. After she clipped my toenails and filed them into shape. The nshe started to puch back my cuticles with a metal cuticle pusher and it was a bit painful but not to much. After she cut my cuticles which didnt hurt at all. After she was done with that, she started to buff my foot with a buffer and applied an exfoliater which she rubbed on my feet. After she told me to put my foor back in the water for 5 minutes and take it out. When i took my foot out she put a green type of cream and rubbed it over my feet. After the wrapped my feet in saran waraped and then a hot towel as you can see in the picture above. She let that sit for about 10 minutes. After the ten minutes where up she open up the saran wrap and told me to put my feet back in the water to wash off the excess green cream. After both feeth where washed she applied lotion and massaged my feet and legs which felt heavenly! The nshe started on my toanails. She started to buff the toanails and apply cuticle oil on them. After she applied base coat followd by the color coat and followed by a top coat. And to make it dry faster, she applied something call drip dry where theres a bottle filled with some kind of liquid and she uses a pipet to drip it in my nails and they dry almost instatly and here was the final result. I went with a royal blue!
After that she started on my nails. I walked over to the nail table and sat down. First she removed any old nail polish and pushed back my cuticles while applying cuticle oil to them to nourish the cuticles. After that she started to cut and shape my nails with a cutter and file. She also buffed my nails with a white buffer. At the end she let me keep the nail file and buffer used on my nails. This is because of sanitary reasons so it assured me that the products they use are new or sanitized. After that we moved onto the paraffin. First she made me rub in hand sanitizer to keep the wax clean. After she gave a bunch of lotion to rub onto my hands but still keep some on the surface. After, she placed my hand in a tub of warm wax. The wax was hot but wasn't excruciating. I had to take it out and put back in 3 times on both hands. After that, she wrapped it in saran wrap and put mittens on them to keep warm. After about 15 minutes, she removed the mittens and the saran wrap. This was my favorite part. She took hold of my hand and told me to pull while pulled on my hand. When she did that, the wax came out like a glove and my hands felt so moisturized and smooth. It was the best feeling ever. After that she started on my nails and applied base, color, and top coat and sealed with drip dry again. After, she cured my nails with the UV Light and I was done! Here is what my nails looks like when I was done.
